2018 Biennial Conference & Annual General Meeting
The Ghana Library Association is pleased to announce that the Biennial Conference and Annual General Meeting of the association will be held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in the Volta Region-Ho, from 1st - 2nd November 2018.
Theme: National Development Through The SDGs: The Role of Libraries.
The 2018 AGM will be organised around the SDGs and will be limited to the following sub-themes'
- Poverty Reduction
• Zero Hunger
• Health & Wellbeing
• Quality Education for all
• Gender equality
• Access to water sanitation
• Reduction inequalities
• Climate change
• Preservation of Culture Heritage
• Peace and Justice
Guidelines Submission of proposals for papers
• Title of proposed paper
• Name(s) of speaker(s)
• Speaker(s)’ institutional affiliation
• Speaker(s) email address,
• Abstract of proposed paper (up to 250 words)
• professional profile of speaker(s)
Format and Language:
The main language of the conference is English. Each paper proposal should address the theme and/or subthemes, and should include the following:
• A research title,
• An abstract of 250 words,
• Keywords (minimum 5)
• A list of author (s),
• Institutional affiliation and Email/telephone
All submissions should be in Word format (for abstracts with special characters, also submit a pdf version) using Times New Roman (12pt) double-spaced,
Length of paper/presentations
Papers should be 3,000 to 5,000 words long, submitted in Word, Fifteen minutes will be allowed for presentations, with ten minutes for discussion for each paper.
